COCO KEYS!!!!

For Spring Break we went to Omaha with some friends, the Veigels and Teeters. We swapped getting to go to the temple and we stayed in an indoor water park called Coco Keys. It was such a blast!
The Veigels have a rule no jumping on the bed, except at a hotel. The kids went crazy! We had adjoining rooms. Now I know where the song "One fell off and bumped their heads, no more monkeys jumping on the beds" comes from!

These are the new craze sweeping the neighborhood nation: Bayblades. Overpriced, switchable fighting tops!!! Boys LOVE THEM.

It was a fun long weekend. We fully tuckered them out! What a blast.

Over a year

Well I was informed by my sister that I am the worst blogger ever, and when I realized that I hadn't blogged in over a year...yep I think its true. So here is to trying to blog again!

First Snow!

I am so grateful we have not had snow until today! I love my warm Arizona days, and I am so glad we were able to put off winter until the middle of December! Alas, however it is finally here. This morning it was 1 degree!!!! Yes 1 degree. Oh my!

Leighton was in heaven! He woke up and ran out side first thing in the morning in his PJs! Nothing else! After we got him all dressed up he spent the entire day outside. I did make him come in for lunch, but then he went right back out.
So at dinner he says "This chicken hurts my tongue." After a few more questions to figure out how chicken could hurt the tongue we get, "because my tongue got stuck to the railing"!! When asked why he licked the frozen railing, he thought for a minute and said," uh...I didn't lick it, my tongue accidently hit the railing as I fell.?!" Dad asked,"who taught you to lick the railing?" To which he responded, "No one! I thought of it all by myself! Pretty smart huh dad?!"
James likes the snow about as much as I do!

Cement between your toes!

So our townhouses are laying cement in someplaces. Later that morning I needed to take the trash out. James wanted to come with me. I walk around the far side of the dumpter and put him down to lift the lid, then bend back down to pick him up. That fast he was gone, around the dumpster, and had imprinted his little toes down the center of FIVE cement squares! I took him in the house, and as it was already cloudy said a prayer for lots of rain, which was mercifully answered and now it only looks like a couple of little scuff marks. You can't tell! That boy..............!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FHE Halloween Party

We were invited to a big fhe halloween party progressive dinner this week. It was tonz of fun! We had a lesson about Noah and the ark and a bunch of kids acted it out. At the end we got to do a pinata!

Leighton swung for his life!

After Leighton, they started making the kids use this softer bat (leighton almost mistaked a few heads for pinatas) Leilani swung so graceful!

This is what james thought about him being Lydai's (dressed as pooh) honeypot! If you can tell he has tears streaming down his face. We ended up ditching the costume and put him in halloween pjs for the party. For the real halloween we have a giraffe costume that hopefully will go over better!

I need a nap!

So I am upstairs putting away laundry, and James starts yelling "MOM" over and over in a very demanding voice. I tell him I am upstairs and he can come talk to me if he wants too, but he needs to talk nice. Well the yelling continues. A few minutes later he is quite (never a good sign in a two year old!) So I rush downstairs. He had fallen asleep on the middle of the staircase! I was surprised because he already had a nap that day!
